The Arena is a 11,000 sq. ft. athletic training facility. We have the largest individual mat in the city of San Diego and a total of over 6000 sq. ft of actual mat space. We’re big enough to give you a great place to train, but not so big you get lost in the crowd.
The gym itself is designed specifically for functional training. We don’t waste space on non-essential features like juice bars and large pro shops. Instead, we concentrate on providing the best teaching environment possible. We have separate Grappling, Striking, Conditioning and Private Training areas in our facility so multiple classes can be conducted at the same time without distraction.
Everything in The Arena is top of the line. Our practice areas are covered by 2″ MMA mats from Zebra, the best mats in the industry. We have over 20 leather Title and Ringside heavy and specialty bags, a Competition Boxing ring, a Full Cage and additional cage areas. We also have multiple showers and bathroom areas.
Most importantly, we emphasize hygiene! Our mats are coated by SafeMat. SafeMat prevents and eliminates bacteria, viruses, etc. before they have a chance to spread, making a much safer environment for athletic use compared to untreated areas.
Note: The Arena has a private, 2500 sq. ft facility located nearby the main gym. This facility can service up to 25 people at a time and is primarily used for Military / Govt. Training. If you are from the Military or another Govt. agency, and are interested in Combatives Training for your personnel in a discrete location, please contact us for more info.
